Combine 2 monster in the recepie you will get the time of breading for each result. and go to the Breading caculator section. Find out the recepie to bread the legendary monster in How to bread section of this website. You shoud save them to upgrate hatching building, built the second breading tree(ultra breading tree). So you should focus on breading and hatch the right monster to bread legendary. And the goal of most people is getting powerful legendary monster. This is not take you so long to build and bread. Upgrade habitats to high level so you can place 3 or 4 pandaken in each. My strategy is building lots of nature habitats.
